BELMAN IS THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME OF THE YEAR Belman has just been elected the apprenticeship programme of the year in Denmark. The six smith apprentices all recommended Belman with each their own personal reasons. A total of 36 vocational schools in Denmark submitted recommendations. Three companies were nominated for Apprenticeship Programme of the year and on the 24th of November 2011 it was announced that Belman was the winner. Usually, one apprentice recommends his/her apprenticeship programme, so it is rather unusual that six apprentices, all with the same contact person, make a simultaneous recommendation. Among other things, this is due to the fact that Mr. Henning Christensen plays a very big role for the apprentices. Some of the reasons for the election were: That Belman assumes a social responsibility and gives youngsters in difficult circumstances a chance with Mr. Henning Christensen as mentor and coordinator. And also that Belman puts together a challenging course with a possibility of a stay with the sister company in the UK and works professionally with follow-up and development of the individual apprentice during the course.
